What Our Boaters Have to Say…
It was blowing 30 knots here, with a seven-foot north swell and the current going against the wind, stacking up the wind chop on top of the swell. Pretty nasty conditions, but the Stuart 23 handled it like a champ at 17-knots, which seems to be the sweet spot in rough conditions. I love the boat and use it 3-4 days a week in all conditions.
We were looking for a boat that would be truly versatile. We needed one in the 27’ range that had a shallow draft for the low water situations we get ourselves into, but a deep V hull that would cut the inevitable 2 foot chop that blows up almost every afternoon in the Summer in the Apalachee Bay…

This is the third boat I have had built, the Fourth boat I have owned and the experience with Stuart has been everything I had hoped for from a small semicustom boat builder…

After having now owned my Stuart Boatworks hull “Guardian Angel” for several seasons and accumulated a few hundred hours behind the helm of her, I feel as confident in her abilities and seaworthiness as the day of my deposit…
Giddy-Happy, those are the words that come to mind at how I feel being the owner of my 23 Stuart. Boating 50 plus years, owning everything from a small Dory to Trawlers. I have experienced every type of bottom, deep V to flats, planning to full displacements. The design and engineering of Stuart Boatworks hull is brilliant! …
Muscular in appearance, the Stuart 23 feels like a lot more than a 23’ boat with a freeboard that is an average of 2” deeper than what is found on the Stuart 27. This boat was originally conceptualized as more of an inshore or nearshore vessel.
Given the boat’s sturdy construction and rounded bilge design, the Stuart 23 is more than capable in offshore waters. Previously designed to be powered by a single Yamaha F300, the newly designed splash well can accept single and twin motor configurations.
Featuring elegant lines in profile, the Stuart 27 is a pleasure to behold and even more enjoyable to captain. Using our rounded bilge design, this boat is built for offshore cruising and fishing. Featuring an aggressive bow entry, the Stuart 27 can stretch from one wave top to another when conditions deteriorate offshore.
This boat is manageable singlehandedly, while providing adequate space for multiple passengers. The Stuart 27 provides a solidness of feel and a softness of ride equivalent to a much larger boat.
We offer the highest quality semi-custom boats around. With a unique rounded bilge, structural standards like no other, and a versatile design, our semi-custom boats will blow you away. If you have any questions or want more details, feel free to contact us.
